Accounting Courses

ACTG 2608. Financial Accounting

Introduces the concepts and principles of financial accounting. Covers basic financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement) and the analysis and interpretation of financial results to enable effective decision making. 听(2 units)

Only for MSIS students. Prerequisite: None.

ACTG 3000. Financial Accounting

Introduces the roles, concepts, principles, legal requirements, and impacts of external financial reporting. Covers basic financial statements and the analysis and recording of transactions, with a focus towards interpretation of reported results. Studies the more common and significant transactions impacting firms. (4 units)

Only for MBA students. Prerequisites: None.
