ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½’s undergraduate degree recipients earn among the highest salaries of U.S. college or university alumni, according the 2014-2015 College Salary Report survey by PayScale, a compensation-data company based in Seattle. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ ranks 26th out more than 1,000 colleges or universities evaluated nationwide. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ graduates reported making an average of $56,000 in starting salaries and $111,000 at mid-career.

A group of 10 faculty and university leaders from the Universidad Centroamericana (UCA) in El Salvador will be visiting ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Sept. 15-17.

ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Ranks No. 2 of Master’s Universities in the West, Highest Graduation Rate

ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ is ranked second among master’s universities in the West according to U.S. News and World Report. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ earned an overall score of 98 out of 100, a dramatic increase from 90 just five years ago. At 94 percent, ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ has the highest freshman retention rate of any master’s university in the country and also has the highest graduation rate in the West, at 84 percent.

Honoring Jesuits Killed 25 Years Ago for Seeking Justice for the Poor

From Nov. 5 to Nov. 16, ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ will honor the 25th anniversary of the killing of Salvadoran Jesuits who died advocating for justice for their nation's poor. The event will be marked with programs, lectures, and prayer events on ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½’s campus and in El Salvador.

The Jesuit university in Silicon Valley earned its first perfect score in the rankings of 861 colleges across the country. The rankings note Santa Clara’s vested interest in environmental justice and sustainable living practices for the benefit of society at large.
