Lindsay P茅rez Huber is Associate Professor in the Social and Cultural Analysis of Education (SCAE) program in the College of Education at California State University, Long Beach. Broadly, Dr. P茅rez Huber鈥檚 research analyzes racial inequities in education, the impact on marginalized urban students of color, and how students and their communities respond to those inequities through strategies of resistance for educational and social change. This work centers a particular focus on immigrant and undocumented communities. She has conducted this research at all levels of public education including K-12 schools, community colleges, and four-year universities and has published her work in over twenty peer-reviewed academic journals in education, law, and other disciplines. Dr. P茅rez Huber is a Ford Foundation Fellow and Faculty Fellow of the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE). She is also the past Vice President of the Critical Race Studies in Education Association (CRSEA). During her career, Dr. P茅rez Huber has supported over 40 thesis and dissertation students of color as chair and/or committee member. Dr. P茅rez Huber received her Ph.D. in Social Science and Comparative Education (SSCE), with a specialization in Race and Ethnic Studies from the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies.
